Why?

The only thing that makes me feel better after seeing this, is that the car used as a basis to make this atrocity come to this world isn't one out of the 1,315 produced F40s. This is just a replica, no F40s were harmed while doing this. Unfortunately, this aweful limo comes from Japan..

Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG Widebody by Misha Design

After the Mercedes-Benz SL Black series and its widebody kit came out, a lot of tuning companies started to make their wide bodykit projects based on several SL AMG Models. And i have to admit that every time i'm stunned by the result. Like the Prior Design wide bodykit SL we saw months ago, Misha Design now joins the game with its SL55 AMG based project that you've probably seen in the latest SEMA show. No technical specs have been released but instead they offered us these stunning pictures of the beast.

Jay Leno's Garage Welcomes the Hennessey Venom GT

The Hennessey Venom GT is a pretty unusual car. It's a 900,000 $ stretched Lotus Elise with a Ford gearbox and a turbocharged Chevrolet V8. But you have to digg a little deeper to justify that price. The engine used in this car is the turbocharged LS9 coming from the Corvette ZR1 and now it's packing out more than 1,200 hp. The gearbox is coming from the Ford GT supercar which according to John Hennessey is pretty much qualified to handle power figures surpassing the 1,000 Hp bar. But that's not all, this car is all about lightweight with just 1,071 Kg (2,361 punds). The result is a supercar that is nearly half the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport's weight but that has the same amount of power. This may lead to some serious performance figures and a mindblowing top speed. You can watch some track footage of the car as well as an interview with John Hennessey in the video below.

Kicherer introduces the SLS 63 Supersport

The guys at Kicherer managed to squeeze 31 more Hp out of the Gullwinged supercar's 6.3-liter V8 to make it barely pass the 600 Hp bar. Some of the most noticeable changes from the exterior are the RS-1 forged wheels and the new rear diffuser. More discrete changes include a carbon fiber front splitter and stainless steel exhausts. Another interesting feature is the lifting system that allows the whole vehicule to sit 30mm (1.2 inches) higher at the push of a button. More pictures of this beauty in the gallery below.

Ford Racing is preparing a Track Only Mustang Boss 302S

Remember that awesome Ford Mustang BOSS 302 with its red track key? It seem that was only the beginning of the story. Now Ford racing is working on a track only version of the car. It means that you won't be able to drive it to the track like the regular BOSS 302 using the "every day key". In fact this one doesn't even have a key, it doesn't have a sound system either but it does have an air conditionning system and some basic switches on the dashboard. The Mustang 302S will be sharing the same 5.0-liter four-valve V8 found in the BOSS 302R race car. That explains the BOSS 302R signature you are seing in the engine picture below.

Pricing of this beautiful piece of engineering starts at $79,000. Additional features are a six-speed manual transmission, a 6 point roll cage, Recaro seats, safety harness, data acquisition and race dampers and springs, plus Brembo brakes and a performance tire package. The car is also equipped with an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing and a fiberglass hood with heat extractors.

If you are planning to own this baby, you better act fast as only 50 of those are going to be made. Production will start in the second quarter of 2011. Full technical specs can be found at Ford Racing.
