VIDEO: First Wheel Spins of the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Racer


Here it is! The McLaren MP4-12C derived GT3 racer makes its first wheel spins at the Silverstone circuit. And it looks far better than any rendering you could have seen before. The new aero package makes the orange racecar look spectacular from every angle. Power comes from the same 3.8-Liter V8 that you can find in the road going version. The new racer from Woking makes an awesome noise and i'm expecting it to be as fast as it looks. VIDEO: Jay Leno's garage Welcomes the Lamborghini Reventon

It's interesting to know that the Murcielago replacement, possibly named the "Avendator", packs out 50 more Hp and that it's also lighter than the Reventon. This makes the 2.2 million $ price a little hard to swallow knowing that the flat black supercar can be described as a rebodied Murciélago LP640. But for that price you get one out of the only 20 existing Reventons with the most outrageous styling ever seen on a Lamborghini supercar, a top speed of nearly 340 Km/h (211 mph) and an ever increasing resell value. Pictures of the Production Ready Noble M600



The original blue Noble M600 prototype was an insanely fast machine. And thanks to a new carbon fiber body the weight of the british supercar has dropped from 1275 Kg (2810 pounds) to nearly 1200 Kg (2645 pounds)! That will lead to some serious performance figures knowing that the original prototype could do the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.0 seconds and had a top speed of nearly 362 km/h (225 mph).

The Noble M600 is powered by a 4.4-Liter Twin Turbo Volvo V8 engine than produces 650 Hp. Power is transferred to rear wheels through a six speed manual gearbox. That makes the M600 a very serious driver's car!

For those who love Top Gear, the original blue M600 prototype currently holds the fifth fastest lap time of 1:17.7 around the Top Gear test track and you can watch it here.

The Pagani Huayra Looks Like this With a Rear Spoiler



This is how the new Pagani Huayra would look like in a yellow and black finish and fitted with a rear spoiler. Even if it might look better with a rear spoiler, i'm pretty sure that the active aero parts have been tested to offer a more versatile body shape that will help the Zonda sucessor achieve higher speeds both when cornering and in the straight lines.

The Pagani Huayra Unveiled!



After 11 years since the first Pagani Zonda roll out of the Modena factory, the Italian supercar with german power hasn't taken one single wrinkle. However, it's time for a replacement. Its name is the Huayra and it came to bring all the technical achivements made possible with the Zonda R to a road going model.

Power comes from a six-liter mercedes-benz V12 rated at 700 Hp and developped specifically by the AMG division for the Huayra. All that power is transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that weights 96 Kg.

The Huayra survived the sadly inevitable increase in weight without too much damage. The Italian hypercar weights just 1350 Kg (2976 pounds). However that's nearly 120 Kg (264 pounds) heavier than a Zonda F. But thanks to its powerful engine and very advanced aerodynamic package, the Huayra is capable of speeds above 370 m/h (230 mph).

Horacio Pagani wanted the Huayra to be faithful to its name which means wind. So he has equipped it with one of the most advanced active aerodynamic packages ever instaled on a road car. The most visible elements are the active front and rear wings shown in the two pictures above.













I know that a lot of you aren't big fans of the mouthy front end. But i'm pretty sure that it's the way it is for a very specific reason. So if that mouthy front end will help the Italian supercar be 6 seconds faster around the Nordschleife, so be it!
