The Lykan HyperSport Hits the Track [VIDEO]

When it comes to numbers and figures, things get complicated with W Motors' Lykan HyperSport. So please forgive us if we don't have the accurate performance figures as well as the exact number of units to be produced. But what we do know is that the Lykan supercar exists and that it finally hit the track at the Dubai Autodrome to silence the doubters.

As a refresher, the Lykan Hypersport is powered by a bespoke 3.7-liter flat-six engine developed by RUF and producing 750 Hp and 960 Nm of torque. The unconfirmed performance numbers are are: 0 to 100 Km/h in 2.8 seconds and top speed of 385 Km/h. The controversial supercar will cost $3.5million (€2.5 million).

Now in order to justify the ridiculous price tag, W Motors needs to prove those performance numbers. Otherwise, the Lykan HperSport will be very easily forgotten. video after the jump...

W Motors Lykan SuperSport Revealed

Compared with the Lykan Hypersport revealed earlier this year, the Lykan SuperSport by W Motors features a slightly different front fascia and also a different rear end with quadruple exhausts instead of the central exhausts configuration we've seen on the Hyper sport.

The SuperSport will be be even more powerful than the Hypersport as pointed out by the company's CEO Ralph Debbas. Bugatti Veyron SuperSport: a 434 km/h (270 mph) capable machine

Now have a seat, this is gonna be a little scary. The long rumored even more powerful version of the Bugatti Veyron is here! What's more powerful than 1,001 Hp? you'd ask. Bugatti answers: 1,200 Hp. Thanks to the further use of exotic materials, the car now weights 50 Kilograms less, which doesn't sound like a lot compared to nearly two ton weight of the car. However the W16 powered beast is now capable of reaching 434 Km/h (270 mph)!

Other mind buggling performance figures include a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 2.5 seconds and a 0 to 300 km/h (186 mph)sprint in less than 15 seconds.

Some of the most noticeable exterior modifications are the black and orange paint job, modificated front bumper and side skirts and a hugely modificated rear end with of course the active rear wing. While that rear end doesn't look really convincing, it surely is the way it is for aerodynamic reasons. With only 30 units to be produced, the SuperSport is set to end the production run of the Bugatti Veyron before a potential replacement comes in.
