SLS AMG Black Series Revealed

AMG finally took wraps off the SLS Black Series and now we have all the details surrounding the long awaited model. The Black Series is powered by the same engine from the standard SLS that now produces an extra 39 Hp over the SLS GT, raising the total power figure to 622 Hp. It's also 70 Kg (159 pounds) lighter, which means the weight of the car has been lowered down to 1550 Kg (3417 pounds). That allows the car to sprint from 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 315 Km/h (196 mph).

Visually, the AMG SLS Black Series is largely inspired by the GT3 Racer and features some naked carbon fiber accents as well as carbon fiber front splitter and rear spoiler. The SLS Black Series can be easily distinguished from the standard SLS through its widened wheel arches.

I was hoping for a higher output and a much lighter body.. But let's wait and see how it behaves on the track. Full press release after the jump.
