Caterham AeroSeven Concept

Introduced earlier this month at the Frankfurt Motor show, the AeroSeven concept is powered by a bespoke 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ford engine producing 237 Hp and sending power to the rear wheels through a 6-spped manual transmission. That's enough power to propel the lightweight machine from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds.

Aesthetically, the big change in the two big slices of bodywork that have been optimized by the F1 team's CFD software. The car will also be equipped all srts of electronic aids including traction control, launch control and ABS brakes..

What do you think of Caterham's new AeroSeven concept car? Do you think it's a revolution or just a Caterham Seven wrapped in two pieces of bodywork?

Audi Nanuk Supercar: Perfect for Dakar?

SUVs are big, ugly, heavy, impractical and incapable on rough surfaces. But what if Audi changed that? The Audi Nanuk is meant to be an all-terrain supercar. And isn't that the true meaning of the word 'Supercar'? A super fast, super capable machine? I want this car to become a reality as much as I hate SUVs, and I hate them a lot!

One more thing, someone needs to have enough balls and make those rear view cameras a reality once and for all.

Perfect....

Whether it's called CL class or S-class Coupé, it's going to be a worthy successor. We just hope that unlike the E class coupé, the S-class coupé will have its AMG version!

"The #SLSAMGGT3 has paved the way, and we are now offering you a glimpse of the possible new member of @AMGCustomerSports team: the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series.
Authentic racing sport flair, competitive technology, spectacular design, and exemplary high safety – the close-to-production, four-door, high-performance coupé CLA 45 AMG Racing Series is planned for the highly popular racing series with 2-liter turbocharged vehicles.
With the genes of a champion, the #CLA 45 AMG which was launched in 2013 with the world’s most powerful series production 4-cylinder engine, serves as the basis for the possible new customer sports race car. On the race car version it would be possible to adapt the engine performance and technical specifications to the regulations of different racing series. Here, both permanent all-wheel drive and pure front-wheel drive are possible. As in the series vehicle, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports gearbox takes care of power transmission. Body panels made completely of carbon-fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) and specific aerodynamic components promise to provide top-level racing competitiveness, not to mention impressive design. The interior is focused on pure function with numerous safety and race car features.
In a few days, the show car will celebrate its world premiere at the IAA Frankfurt (September 12 - 22, 2013).
Tell us how you like the potentially new AMG Customer Sports family member!"

50 Years of Porsche 911...

It's been nearly 50 years since the original Porsche 911 appeared at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963. Throughout the years, the German sports car remained faithful to its original design language and engine configuration. A beetle shaped sports car with a rear mounted flat-six engine, this odd combination survived for 50 years. Until this day, the Porsche 911 is one of the finest, fastest, best selling sports cars in the world.

Part of its celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the iconic model, Porsche released these pictures of the original 911 side to side with the latest 911 Carrera S. It's interesting to see how the 911 became bigger throughout the years. Just like Lamborghini, Porsche will be marking the 50th anniversary by unveiling a special model at the Frankfurt Motor Show next September.
