Picture of the Day: Mustang Mach Forty By Larry Chen

It was unveiled at last year's SEMA Show and we're happy it came back this year. The Mustang Mach 40 by Oregon based Eckert’s Rod Shop is powered by a supercharged version of the 5.4-liter V8 coming from the GT40 that now produces 850 Hp. This particular shot was taken at The Optima Street Car Challenge event by Larry Chen for the Speedhunters and we think it deserves to be the picture of the day.
Lamborghini Aventador by Misha Designs


Misha Designs, known for its outrageous body kits for Mercedes-Benz and Porsche models, recently unveiled its body kit for the Lamborghini Aventador LP-700-4. The body kit includes a new carbon fiber front bumper and front splitter, carbon fiber side skirts and a new lightweight rear spoiler. To complete the look, the Italian beauty rides on bespoke wheels with orange trim to match the color of the car.

Keep in mind that the vehicle could not be finalized in time for the SEMA show, so it still lacks some elements like the rear diffuser. Between this and DMC body kit, which one do you prefer? Here are more pictures to help you make a choice.


1967 Chevy Nova Wins GT Awards Best-In-Show at SEMA


Every year at the SEMA show, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi picks up the best car in the show for the GT Awards event. This year, the winner is a 1967 Chevy Nova and as always, the car will be included in the upcoming Gran Turismo 6 as downloadable content.

1967 Shelby GT500CR By Classic Recreations Unveiled at SEMA


Classic Recreations introduced its stunning Mustang Shelby GT500RC at the SEMA show. The car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 Ford Racing Coyote crate engine producing 490 Hp mounted to a Tremec five-speed manual gearbox. That doesn't sound enough for you? Classic Recreations offers its customers the ability to order the special GT500CR 900 model producing 780 Hp thanks to a new F1-R intercooled ProCharger.

SEMA2013: De Tomaso Pantera Restyled by Ringbrothers


Ringbrothers unveiled their heavily modified De Tomaso Pantera for the SEMA show this week. Ringbrothers' Pantera is powered powered by a LS3 Wegner Motorsports engine producing 600 Hp and sending power to the rear wheels through a five-speed ZF transmission with a B&M shifter. Other performance upgrades include the Flowmaster stainless steel mufflers.

The car rides on HRE S101 three-piece forged alloy wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo tires. You still have the chance to see this car in the steel at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas until the 8th of November. In the meantime here are some cool photos of it.

Mopar Introduces the New SCAT Package for The Challenger, Charger and Dart


Mopar introduced the SCAT Package for the Challenger, Charger and Dart models. The package includes some important performance upgrades as well as some exterior and interior customization bits in addition to the black and red livery.

The Challenger and Charger models will share the same SCAT package with the same power figures:

SCAT PACKAGE 1 5.7-liter
* "Optimized" engine calibration – tailored to Scat Package 1
* Mopar cold air intake
* Mopar cat-back exhaust
* Scat Package 1 badge

SCAT PACKAGE 2 5.7-liter
* Adds:
* "Optimized" engine calibration – tailored to Scat Package 2
* Mopar performance camshaft
* Scat Package 2 badge

SCAT PACKAGE 3 5.7-liter
* Adds:
* "Optimized" engine calibration – tailored to Scat Package 3

2014 COPO Camaro Unveiled at SEMA


This year's SEMA show is definitely one of the best in years. The new COPO Camaro made its debut yesterday in Las Vegas. The 2014 COPO Camaro can be powered by three different engines: a naturally aspirated 427-cubic-inch V8, a 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 and a 396-cubic-inch (6.5-liter) V8.

Being made for the drag strip, the COPO is compliant with NHRA's Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes. It comes with a roll cage, solid rear axle and some massive Hoosier drag slicks at the rear.

Only 69 units will be built.

Forgiato's Wide Body Corvette C7 Revealed!

We've been waiting for the widebody C7 by Forgiato for such a long time. The first sketches already met a huge success among the fans. But now we finally got the chance to see the final product. The wide body comes from TS Designs while the wheels are Forgiato's Maglia-ECL cut-spoke wheels with a black/aston martin blue gloss finish just like the body of the car. They measure 21 inches front, 22 inches rear.

We love it. We just wish it was painted red just the like the first sketches! But we still love it!

Vivid Racing's Carbon Fiber Viper Previewed for SEMA


Vivid Racing introduced their new 2013 SRT Viper based project for the SEMA show. The car features a body kit developped by Seibon that includes a new carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber front lip, carbon fiber canards, carbon fiber side skirts, carbon fiber diffuser, carbon fiber tail light surround, and carbon fiber wing.

Lexus IS Lineup for the SEMA Show


Lexus brought an amazing selection of nine tuning projects mostly based on the IS model to the SEMA show. First, the wide body IS 250 F SPORT by Paul Tolson and Gabriel Escobedo easily recognizable thanks to its Glasurit Orange Mercury finish and Works Emotion CR Kiwami alloy wheels. Then we have Philip Chase's 700 Hp supercharged IS 340, the all-wheel drive Gordon Ting IS AWD with the TRD body kit and the Seibon Carbon IS 350 F SPORT which features a carbon fiber body with A’PEXi SPL suspension and rides on 20-inch Volk Racing G27 wheels.

Also part the selection is Robert Evans' IS built by VIP Auto Salon, winner of the IS design challenge. Wheel maker Vossen also will be bringing another project showcasing its 20 inch direction wheels. Vossen's IS 350 F SPORT is also equipped with a Tommy Kaira body kit.

Misha Design's Body Kit for The Aventador Roadster Announced for SEMA


The Lamborghini Aventador is a very popular car among tuning companies. But we've never had the chance to see a tuner's take on its roadster variant, until now. MISHA Design, the company known for its outrageous body kits, announced the arrival of the new body kit for the Italian topless bull. You will have the chance to see it in the flesh next month at the SEMA show. In the meantime, enjoy the high res gallery below.

Vortech will Bring a 605 HP Mustang to SEMA


Vortech Superchargers will be bringing a 605 Hp Mustang Gt to the SEMA show next month. Dubbed 'Yellow Jacket', the yellow Stang is equipped with a V-3 Si supercharger that will boost the output of the 5.0-liter V8 engine and also increase the torque to 640 Nm.

Aesthetically, the car features a wide body kit, a carbon fiber cowl induction hood, six-piston brakes, a box suspension package. Finally, the yellow beast rides on 20 inch iForged wheels wrapped in Falken Azenis FK453 tires.
