Formula One's Top Teams Going Crazy with Their Design for 2017

Formula One's top teams are going crazy with their design for 2017 and we love it. First, Mercedes found a "loophole"in the regulations and came up with a T-wing mounted at the engine cover (not seen in the picture below). And now Ferrari, unveils its 2017 which features not only another interesting engine cover mounted wing, but a very radical side pod design. The two new features, alongside lots of new small details made us nearly forget about the nose tip that continues to be a trend for 2017 cars...

I don't know about you, but this makes me really (finally) excited about the new season. 29 days to go until Melbourne!

First Pictures of the Williams FW36

Williams revealed the first official renders of their FW36 Mercedes V6 Turbo Powered F1 car for the 2014 season. The car was revealed wearing Williams's heritage testing livery and if you were disappointed by the look of last season's step noses, you're going to be disappointed even more by this year's cars..

Hillclimb La Roche 2013: Nothing but Engine Sounds

There's nothing that needs to be said. All automotive videos should be made this way: cut the music and leave room for the engine sounds. This clip is a great compilation of the beasts that were running at this year's hill climb La Roche in Switzerland. We've already picked our favorite engine sound, watch and tell us which one do you prefer. This is automotive porn, it's woth your time.
Mercedes Responds to Jaguar's Mocking Ad

A few months ago, Mercedes-Benz came up with a clever ad that demonstrates the ability of its Magic Body Control system using chicken. But if you are using chicken to promote your cars, you are giving your competitors a chance to make fun of you. Jaguar jumped on the occasion and came up with a hilarious parody that says at the end: "Magic Body Control? We prefer cat-reflexes.". But today Mercedes-Benz decided to respond in a more elegant way with the ad you see above.

We don't really care who wins because this is so entertaining for us! (Original ad and parody after the jump)
VIDEO: AMG SLS Spitting (too much?) Flames on the Dyno

This Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS tuned by World Motorsport ate two turbos for dinner and now it produces 850 Hp and spits flames. We know that during dyno tests the back of the car needs some ballast. But we strongly recommend for the dude in this clip to find a replacement weight!

The car will be receiving a series of styling enhancements including a new carbon fiber front splitter, a massive rear diffuser and a rear spoiler similar to that of the GT3 race car. It's painted in satin black and rides on a set of stunning HRE S107 wheels.

Video after the jump.
BMW's Mercedes CLA Fighter Rendered

Rendering by Theophilus Chin

Some very talented rendering artist imagined this stunning BMW 2-Series Gran Coupé concept. And we really like the idea of a rear wheel drive competitor from the Bavarian automaker for the Mercedes-Benz CLA. Let's hope it's part of their plans with an M version of course.

In order to showcase their new ADV5.21SL wheels, ADV.1 teamed up with Five Nine Design to bring us this stunning CL63 AMG Black Series. Wheels are 20 inch Monoblocks with a brushed aluminum finish and a special red tint applied over the surface. There's no word if this particular C63 Black series underwent some performance upgrades but the original car is powered by a 6.3-Liter V8 producing 510 Hp, so that should be okay... RENNtech introduces a Yellow McLaren SLR Roadster on ADV.1 Wheels

The McLaren SLR has been around for nearly ten years now, and with more than 1789 units built, a lot of after market tuners kept rolling out their own versions of the supercar even after its production was discontinued in 2010. RENNtech is the last tuner to play with the SLR. Their customization kit includes performance upgrades and a set of ADV.1 wheels as well as a yellow paint job..

RENNtech took care of the performance upgrades by adding a new exhaust system, an intercooler and a remapped ECU. The 5.4-Liter V8 now produces 750 hp and 997 Nm (735 lb-ft) of torque. The car rides on ADV05 Deep Concave wheels from ADV.1 Wheels with 20 inches at the front, 21 inches at the rear. You can find more high res pictures of the yellow beast in the gallery below.
