Pagani Huayra VS Zonda on the Track [VIDEO]

For most of us, the Pagani Zonda and the Pagani Huayra are just dream cars. For guys like Goodwood Road and Racing Club member Peter Read, they are a beautiful reality since he owns both of these cars. But it's good thing since he offers us the chance to see the Zonda and its successor together on the track for the first time. So let's enjoy what we have. Video after the jump.

We finally got our hands on some spectacular shots of the golden wrapped Pagani Huayra that we've posted yesterday. Take your time to contemplate the beauty of the 738 Hp AMG V12 powered Italian hypercar. And don't forget to drop by Prototype Zero for more breathtaking shots of the Italian hypercar.

If you'd like to see the car doing some powerslides for charity, don't forget to check out this video by Marchettino.

Pagani Huayra Burns Rubber in Modena

This amazing Pagani Huayra wrapped in gold and matte grey was caught in Modena by one of the most active car spotters from Italy named Marchettino. It was driven by Pagani's test driver Davide Testi who even did some crazy burnouts in the $1million plus supercar. We think it might the be the same exact car that the guys at Speedhunters got the chance to drive. Take a look here.
Meet the Queen of the Top Gear Test Track..

Mercedes-Benz AMG released these pictures of the record breaking Pagani Huayra hypercar to celebrate the accomplishment. The Italian beauty powered by a bespoke 6.0-liter AMG V12 engine achieved a stunning lap time of 1:13.8 seconds at the Top Gear test track, the fastest ever for a road legal supercar. In fact the Huayra's lap time is just 3 seconds behind the more powerful, not road legal Zonda R race car. We think that the Huayra will remain at the top of the lap time board for a while.. at least until the future McLaren P1 or the Ferrari F150 show up!

Pagani Huayra No.8 with an Interesting Color Going to Hong kong

The guys at Autogespot posted pictures of the chassis No.8 Pagani Huayra in a very interesting color. They describe it as a combination of British Racing Green and Emerald. The Italian beauty apparently belongs to a customer in Hong Kong. The Huayra has yet to be commercialized in the US and currently clients are mainly from Asia and Europe. The Pagani Huayra will make its official debut in the US in 2013.

U.S. Spec Pagani Huayra Pictures

The Pagani Huayra is outstanding from every point. Whether in terms of design or in terms of performance, the Italian hypercar with a german beating heart is simply a killer. And even if some of you are not big fans of its mouthy front end, i think it had to be like that for a reason. This car is going to be an eternal classic, just like the Zonda already is. For more breath taking pictures of this U.S. spec Huayra, go to Autogespot.

Jay Leno's Garage Welcomes The Pagani Huayra and Its Creator

If you payed enough attention while watching the Jay Leno's review of the Zonda R you might have noticed the red Pagani Huayra sitting on the other side of the garage. Now click past the jump to have a closer look at the 700 Hp road legal (except for the U.S. because it lacks some airbags) beast with Jay Leno and Horatio Pagani.

The Pagani Huayra Looks Like this With a Rear Spoiler

This is how the new Pagani Huayra would look like in a yellow and black finish and fitted with a rear spoiler. Even if it might look better with a rear spoiler, i'm pretty sure that the active aero parts have been tested to offer a more versatile body shape that will help the Zonda sucessor achieve higher speeds both when cornering and in the straight lines.

Head on to Autogespot to see more Huayras in different colors.
The Pagani Huayra Unveiled!

After 11 years since the first Pagani Zonda roll out of the Modena factory, the Italian supercar with german power hasn't taken one single wrinkle. However, it's time for a replacement. Its name is the Huayra and it came to bring all the technical achivements made possible with the Zonda R to a road going model.

Power comes from a six-liter mercedes-benz V12 rated at 700 Hp and developped specifically by the AMG division for the Huayra. All that power is transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that weights 96 Kg.

The Huayra survived the sadly inevitable increase in weight without too much damage. The Italian hypercar weights just 1350 Kg (2976 pounds). However that's nearly 120 Kg (264 pounds) heavier than a Zonda F. But thanks to its powerful engine and very advanced aerodynamic package, the Huayra is capable of speeds above 370 m/h (230 mph).

Horacio Pagani wanted the Huayra to be faithful to its name which means wind. So he has equipped it with one of the most advanced active aerodynamic packages ever instaled on a road car. The most visible elements are the active front and rear wings shown in the two pictures above.

I know that a lot of you aren't big fans of the mouthy front end. But i'm pretty sure that it's the way it is for a very specific reason. So if that mouthy front end will help the Italian supercar be 6 seconds faster around the Nordschleife, so be it!
