It has now become a tradition from Mitsubishi to bring an electric prototype to Pikes Peak. This year is no exception as the Japanese automaker is planning to bring a new and even more extreme electric Hill Climb beast.

The new MiEV Evolution III race car is powered by four electric motors producing altogether 603 bhp. That should be enough since the Evolution iii is lighter and produces even more down force than its predecessor. More importantly, thanks to its electric motors, the MiEV Evo iii produces massive amounts of torque which is very helpful knowing that the altitude difference between the starting and the finishing line is 2.862 km.

This year's Pikes Peak race is scheduled for Sunday, June 29th. Stay tuned for more news about this legendary race.
