We've seen Lexus participate in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring for the last couple of years with a nearly stock version of the Lexus LFA supercar. This time Toyota's luxury brand is cooking for us a proper racing version of our well loved supercar to compete with the likes of the new Viper GTS-R and the Corvette C6. Dubbed LFA GTE, the new race car is expected to compete in next year's 24 Hours of Le Mans since Lexus is not planning to compete in next year's 24 Hours of Nürburgring. We couldn't be more excited to hear the news and we're looking forward to see what the final thing will look like!

PS: It seems that as I'm writing this post, Toyota is kindly asking websites and blogs to take down the pictures of the new LFA GTE racer as they were not meant to be published but you can still see them at Autoguide before they get removed.
