This year Lotus has decided to be the undisputed star of the Paris Motor Show. And for that, they brought no fewer than five different brand new concept cars belonging to at least three different segments on the sports car market.

With the Eterne Four door hybrid sedan, Lotus wants to send a clear message to the likes of Porsche, Aston Martin and Audi that it's now willing to make its slice of the cake bigger than ever. The Eterne concept car came to mention the new direction that the Lotus brand is taking under Dani Bahar commandement.

The Eterne is said to be powered by a Toyota sourced 5.0 L V8 developping not less than 620 Hp! The potential customer will have the choice wether to include or not the hybrid drivetrain. The hybrid technology used is similar to the KERS system used in the 2009 Formula One Season.

The Eterne performance figures are quite spectacular for a four door sedan: 4 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) and a top speed of 304 Km/H (189 mph). Price will be at around 190,000$. "A Toyota V8 powered hybrid four door sedan from Lotus." That's a lot of words i never though i would see in one sentence, and you know what... Now that i've seen the car, i think it's not a bad idea.. At all!
