Koenigsegg One:1 Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut

The Koenigsegg One:1 is finally here and it's determined to become the world's fastest road legal car. And looking at the numbers, the Swedish "Mega car" has what it takes and maybe even more. The One:1 is powered by a 5.0-liter aluminum V8 engine producing 1,341 Hp and weights 1,341 Kg (2,956 pounds) which explains the name and which also explains why the 0 to 400 Km/h (248.5 mph) sprint is expected to take just 20 seconds. Top speed is expected to be more than 440 km/h (273 mph).

The car will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month and only six units will be built.

Pick of the Day: Abflug Schwarzer Supercar

No it's not based on the Viper, it's not based on a Ferrari either.. It's called the Abflug Schwarzer, it comes from Gotenba in Japan and only one exists in the world. The car is based on a Toyota Supra JZA80 and this not just a cheap conversion kit. It's a bespoke body that is meant to give the Supra a totally different appearance and also the performance that goes with it.

The Abflug Schwarzer is powered by a 3.0-liter six cyliner engine producing 603 Hp and good for a top speed of 313 Km/h (196 mph). The car weights just 1,390 kg (3,064 pounds) and it'll do the 400 meters (quarter mile) in 11.3 seconds.

One-off Lotec C1000 to Be Auctioned

The Lotec C1000 is one of those supercars that you probably never heard of. And it's made by a company that probably does not exist any more. But it's pretty damn fast and it might even be faster than most of today's supercars. And now it's going to be auctioned for a price list between 'only' $1million and $1.3million. It's pretty good value because back in 1995, the customer who wanted to have his own unique hypercar paid a whopping $3.5million!

So let's have a look at the numbers. The Lotec Mercedes-Benz C1000 is powered by a 5.6-liter Mercedes-Benz V8 producing 1000 Hp and it's fully made of carbon fiber so it weights just 1,079 Kilograms (2,380 pounds). Performance numbers are the following: 0 to 100 Km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h is 8.1 seconds (McLaren P1 and LaFerrari do it 7 seconds..) and the top speed is 431 Km/h (same as the Veyron SS). However these numbers were never officially verified.

The car will be auctioned at the Charlotte Convention Center Auction that will take place between October 31st and November 3rd. More pictures in the gallery below.

Mazzanti Evantra takes Shape in the real World

The Italian supercar company Mazzanti officially unveiled its Evantra V8 supercar. And we are very pleased to see that the final product looks exactly the same as the concept that was unveiled last December. The Mazzanti might not please everyone aesthetically, but it surely looks like nothing we've seen before. And with only five units to be produced annually, your chances of seeing it are close to zero.

Thanks to its low curb weight of 1,300 Kg (PRO-BODY, 2866 pounds), the Evantra is able to sprint from 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 350 Km/h (219 mph). It rides on special 20" OZ alloy wheels and the braking system comes from Brembo with 380mm discs with 6 piston calipers in the front and 360mm discs with 4 piston caliper in the back.

Now that LaFerrari has been officially unveiled, rumors have just started to surface about a possible "LaMaserati" model... Rumors suggest that the limited series Maserati will benefit from all the technologies developed with LaFerrari except for its hybrid powertrain. Instead, it might use a turbocharged version of the Quattroporte's V8.

Keep in mind that none of these information have been officially confirmed. But a LaFerrari based hypercar from Maserati isn't out of question since the MC-12 its self was based on the Ferrari Enzo.

Mazzanti Evantra V8 Details and Images Released

Mazzanti Automobili, an Italian supercar company that was officially founded in 2010, introduced its latest concept car: the Evantra V8. The Italian supercar's styling is a combination between classic and modern design elements with an aggressive appearance. The body will be available in two different options, the carbon fiber "PRO-BODY" and the entirely hand crafted all aluminim made "ONE-BODY".

More muscle, more power: Maserati Gran Turismo MC Staradale

If you've already seen the standard Maserati Gran Turismo in person, you are probably as excited as me about the new MC Stradale variant. The Maserati Gran Turismo MC stradale is not as powerful as the outgoing Ferrari F430 Scuderia from its sister company but it has nonetheless benefited from important chassis enhancements and a slight increase in power with now an output of 450 Hp, 20 more than the Gran Turismo S. It also features a new agressive aero package and beautifully redesigned fornt fascia. These little enhancements altogether will definetely contribute to making it a very different beast.

More technical details will be revealed in the public unveiling later this month at the Paris Motor Show, stay tuned!
