Jaguar I-Pace: production version revealed

Traditional automakers are getting in the EV business. And it's good for everyone. Today we get a first glimpse at the production version of the Jaguar I-Pace all electric cross over. And it looks gorgeous.

Here are the key figures (*):
- Battery is a 90 kWh with an estimated 240 miles (390 km) range,
- Zero to 80 percent in just 40 minutes at 100kW DC fast charging stations
- Two electric motors one on each axel with a combined output of 394 Hp
- 0–60 mph (98 km/h) in 4.5 sec

Legendary Le Mans Race Cars Driven on a Daily Basis [VIDEO]

Some rich folks and die hard racing fans from Japan realized their dreams of buying their favorite Le Mans race cars. But not only they already own their dream machines but they also drive them on a regular basis on the public roads. Aston V12 Vantage S vs Jaguar XKR-S GT [VIDEO]

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S vs. Jaguar XKR-S GT
Motor trend has decided to put against each other one of our favorite British supercars: the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S and the Jaguar XKR-S GT. The result is 19 minutes of pure driving. Here's a quick refresher about both cars.

The Jaguar has a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 producing 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque, weights 1850 kg (3,968 pounds), does the 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 300 Km/h (186 mph).

The Aston Martin has a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 565 Hp and 458 pound-feet of torque, weights 1614 Kilograms (3,560 pounds), does the 0 to 100 Km/h sprint (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 329 Km/h (205 mph).

Mercedes Responds to Jaguar's Mocking Ad

A few months ago, Mercedes-Benz came up with a clever ad that demonstrates the ability of its Magic Body Control system using chicken. But if you are using chicken to promote your cars, you are giving your competitors a chance to make fun of you. Jaguar jumped on the occasion and came up with a hilarious parody that says at the end: "Magic Body Control? We prefer cat-reflexes.". But today Mercedes-Benz decided to respond in a more elegant way with the ad you see above.

1964 Jaguar E-Type Converted into a Racecar [VIDEO]

The latest clip from Petrolicious features Jason Len, a proud 1964 Jaguar E-Type owner who talks about his passion for the brand. Jason Len, a mechanical engineer largely influenced by his former professor who was a Jaguar addict, converted his own E-Type into a race car that looks like the ones raced by Jaguar at Le Mans back in the sixties.

In this clip, Jason talks about the continuous conversion process and his regular participation in various racing events. It's very inspiring and it's totally worth your time. Video after the jump.

American V8 VS. British V8 [VIDEO]

So here's what we have on paper: the Jaguar F-Type has a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 producing 495 hp but it's a little bit heavier because it's a convertible and because it carries more tech gadgets. The Corvette C6 with its 6.2-liter LS3 V8 producing 430 hp is slightly less powerful but it's lighter. Video after the jump.

An Even Hotter Jaguar F-Type RS Confirmed

Fresh from the unveiling of the Jaguar F-Type Coupé with a new R version powered by a 550 Hp turbocharged V8, Jaguar already confirmed its plans to make an even more track focused RS version and it might even get a RS GT version just like the XKR-S GT!

We think that model rendered above is beautiful but it looks too much like the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. But we're sure that Jaguar won't be struggling to make its F-Type RS have its own personality. We couldn't be more excited to know what they will come up with!

Jaguar C-X17 SUV Concept Revealed in a New Color at Guangzhou Auto Show

Even if you really, really hate SUV's and find them pointless (and they are), you can't deny the beauty in the Jaguar C-X17 SUV Concept. We've already had the chance to see it in its blue reveal livery. But Jaguar introduced an updated version of the concept at the Guangzhou Auto Show in china. And for the occasion, they also revealed a new color and it looks absolutely stunning!

Jaguar E-Type Coupe Unveiled! [VIDEO]

The Coupé version version of the beautiful Jaguar F-Type is finally revealed! And here's everything you need to know about its different versions. The most exciting one being the newly introduced F-Type R coupé with 550 Hp!

Type F Coupé and F Type S Coupé

The entry level F-Type coupé is powered by 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 producing 340 Hp and the sportier F-Type S Coupe produces 380 Hp. The F-Type weights 1577 Kilograms (3,477 pounds) while the F-Type S weights 1593 Kg (3,514 pounds). Both versions are of course slightly lighter than their convertible equivalents. 0 to 100 km/H times are respectively 4.8 seconds and 5.1 seconds and top speed is 161 mph for the standard F-Type and 171 mph for the F-Type S.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed “Quickshift” automatic transmission with wheel mounted paddle shifters. Torque repartition is achieved through the intelligent Electronic Active Differential and the new torque vectoring system for a better handling and a more dynamic driving experience.


F-Type V8 S Coupé

Just like the Convertible version, the Type-F V8 S Coupé is powered by a turbocharged V8 engine producing 500 Hp. The coupé version however is slightly lighter with a weight of 1665 Kilograms (3,671 pounds)


F-Type R Coupé

As if the F-Type S V8 wasn't exciting enough, Jaguar comes up with a new R variant! The R variant is powered by the same V8 engine from the S version, except that it produces 55 Hp more and weights exactly the same, 1665 Kilograms. That makes the total output jump to 550 hp which means that the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time is now exactly 4.0 seconds and the top speed is 300 Km/h (186 mph).

Pick of the Day: Eagle E-type Low Drag Coupe

This thing is absolutely gorgeous! It makes me feel like I'm cheating on the original Jaguar E-Type which is one of my all time favourite designs. This perfectly proportioned E-type is a tribute to the infamous Jaguar E-Type low drag coupe and it's built by Eagle, a British car company specialized in rebuilding and restoring E-Type jags.

The Eagle Low Drag Coupe is powered by a 4.7-liter aluminum straight-six engine producing 345 hp which should be enough since the car weights just 1038 Kilograms (2288 pounds). The engine is sending its power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox and the 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) sprint is achieved in 4.5 seconds!

Eagle's E-Type low drag coupe is a wonderful piece of art just like its topless variant, the Speedster which was tested by Jeremy Clarkson a couple of years ago. Only one exists at the moment and you need to wait 18 months and have £650k to be able to own one.

Three Not So Ordinary Jags in London

Jaguar Project 7, CX-75 and CX-17 chilling around near Harrods, London..

You won't be seeing this view again before too long, unless these fantastic concept cars go into production. But even though, your chances would be still be very weak. So enjoy the beauty of these shots and let's hope that the XJ220's spiritual successor (the CX-75 concept) will find its way to production.

Jaguar Project 7 Concept development [VIDEO]

Remember that time when Jaguar was losing money and lost its identity? Well that time is gone. Thanks to cars like the F type and the C-X75 concept. The British brand finally reaffirmed its identity and with cars like the Project 7 concept, it only continues to go in the right direction.

In the video below, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum highlights the development of this amazing car. The Project 7, may I remind you, is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 550 HP and 680 Nm of torque. It sends it power to the rear wheels through an eight-speed Quickshift transmission. That enables the single seater F type to complete the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 4.2 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT Revealed Ahead of New York

First there was the Jaguar XKR, then the XKR-S and now an even more hardcore version pops up ahead of the New York Motor Show. The XKR-S GT might be the last hourrah before the more upmarket next generation Jaguar XK makes its debut. The road legal XKR-S GT keeps the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 producing 550 hp that can be found on the XKR-S. We don't know if the GT is lighter than the XKR-S either. But what we do know, is that it features a much more advanced aero including a redesigned front bumper with some carbon fiber elements, a new vented front hood, a more pronounced rear diffuser and a rear spoiler. Overall, the car is more track focused with an upgraded suspension, bigger brakes and wider 20 inch alloy wheels.

Jaguar Type F with Black Pack is Awfully Sexy

Part of its personalization program for its new baby sports car, Jaguar introduced the Black Pack design kit at the LA Motor Show. The "Black Pack" comprises a new front splitter and additional side skirts as well as several redesigned parts compared to the standard version like the front grille, the steering wheel and the front hood air vents. The pack will be available in six colors: Firesand, Ultimate Black, Polaris White, Italian Racing Red, Rhodium Silver and Satellite Grey.

As a reminder, the new F-Type is the spiritual successor to the iconic Jaguar E-Type. The new convertible will be powered by a 3.0-Liter supercharged V6 engine developing 335 hp, also available in a more powerful 375 Hp version. Even better, a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine will be available for the small convertible!
