Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R To Compete in the IMSA Continental Tires SportsCar Challenge


Chevrolet revealed the racing variant of the Camaro Z/28 road car. Dubbed Z/28.R, the car will be entered by Stevenson Motorsports and CKS Autosport in the GS class of the IMSA Continental Tires SportsCar Challenge. It is powered by the same 7.0-liter V8 engine from the road going model but has received specialized suspension components that are needed for endurance racing. As a result, Chevrolet describes its new race cars as the "most production-based competitors on the track".

Corvette C7.R Fully Revealed [VIDEO]


There's a lot going on in Detroit. Shortly after the Corvette Z06 was officially revealed, we have the chance to discover the new Corvette C7.R race car. Unlike the Z06, the new race car is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine which is expected to produce more than 485 Hp which is the output of the previous C6 race car. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential gearbox.

The new 2014 C7.R will make its racing debut on January 25 at the 52nd Rolex 24 at Daytona. Two cars will be entered by Corvette Racing at the season opener of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. More pictures and details in the press release after the jump.

Corvette C7 Z06 Officially Revealed [VIDEO]


After the first leaked official pictures hit the web yesterday, now we can learn all the juicy details about the new Corvette Z06 after its official unveiling at the Detroit Autoshow Today. We finally got the confirmation that the Z06 is powered by all-new V8 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged engine producing at least 625 hp and 861 Nm of torque. The engine sends power to the rear wheels either through a 7-speed manual gearbox or the newly developed 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Z06 features an aggressive carbon fiber body kit that includes a new front splitter, a modified front bumper, wider fenders, a modified hood, a modified rear bumper and a rear spoiler. Are part of the package are the Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup Tires, carbon ceramic-matrix brakes and the 19-inch alloy wheels. The Z06 is expected to go on sale earlier next year. 2015 Corvette Z06 Leaked Ahead of Detroit


We finally got our hands on the first official images of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and we couldn't be more excited to see what it looks like! The Z06 has a very aggressive body with a sophisticated aero kit including a new front splitter, a modified front bumper, wider fenders, a modified hood, a modified rear bumper and a rear spoiler.

The Z06 is now confirmed with 620 hp and 880 Nm of torque but it's still not known whether motivation comes from a naturally aspirated or a turbocharged V8. Stay tuned as the car will be publicly unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next week.

Introducing Supervettes' Conversion Kit for the Corvette C6


While several companies are working on new tuning packages for the Corvette C7, Supervettes came up with a conversion kit for the previous generation Corvette C6. Dubbed "SV8.R", the new kit can be applied to any Corvette C6 model from 2005 to 2013 to give it a C7-like look while not abandoning the round taillights.

The body kit is fully made from carbon fiber and makes the car 5 inches wider. In addition to the body kit, the car receives a new set of wheels measuring 20 inches front and 21 inches rear. Also included in the package are the new exhausts, new brakes as well as some interior tweaks. If you're among the first five buyers, the package will cost you $60,000. Otherwise, it will cost you $65,000.

After discovering the SV8.R conversion kit, we're left with one tinkling question in mind: what's the point of buying this kit when a brand new Corvette C7 Stingray costs $52,000? Anyways, more pictures and details in the press release after the jump.

This amazing Custom 1967 Chevy Nova Sold for $300k at an Auction event

That's my opinion about this very unique 1967 Chevy Nova. This impressive ride was recently sold at RK Motors auction event and it raised as much as $300k. It's not a surprise when see all the work done with this iconic car. The attention to details is just mind blowing! You can see by your self in the shots below.

This Chevy Nova built by Illinois based Roadster Shop was not just built for the show. It is powered by a LSX454 engine producing a very healthy 700 HP and 828 Nm of torque (611 lb-ft).

Stunning SR Corvette to Be Auctioned

Mecum Auctions will be bringing this rare SR Corvette to their upcoming auction event in Kissimmee, Florida. The SR Corvette is a very important car in the history of the brand as it was built for racing purposes in order to improve the sales of the Corvette in the mid sixties.

This particular example was built in 1965 to compete in the Sebring 12 Hours and it finished the race in 9th position. More pictures in the gallery below.

2014 COPO Camaro Unveiled at SEMA


This year's SEMA show is definitely one of the best in years. The new COPO Camaro made its debut yesterday in Las Vegas. The 2014 COPO Camaro can be powered by three different engines: a naturally aspirated 427-cubic-inch V8, a 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 and a 396-cubic-inch (6.5-liter) V8.

Being made for the drag strip, the COPO is compliant with NHRA's Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes. It comes with a roll cage, solid rear axle and some massive Hoosier drag slicks at the rear.

Only 69 units will be built.

Forgiato's Wide Body Corvette C7 Revealed!

We've been waiting for the widebody C7 by Forgiato for such a long time. The first sketches already met a huge success among the fans. But now we finally got the chance to see the final product. The wide body comes from TS Designs while the wheels are Forgiato's Maglia-ECL cut-spoke wheels with a black/aston martin blue gloss finish just like the body of the car. They measure 21 inches front, 22 inches rear.

We love it. We just wish it was painted red just the like the first sketches! But we still love it!

Chevrolet Corvette C7R Revealed


Fans of the Corvette will be pleased to know that Chevrolet has finally taken wraps off the new C7R race car. The new race car features a black and yellow livery that won't please many. But under the funky livery lies one of the sexiest race cars out there. The car will make its official racing debut at the the 24 Hours of Daytona next January part of the new United SportsCar Racing series which replaces the Grand Am and the American Le Mans Series. We hope we'll be able to see the car from every angle in the coming days so stay tuned!

The Corvette Stingray based Shooting brake Gets Green-lighted!


The amazing shooting brake concept from Callaway based on the new Corvette C7 Stingray finally got the production gree light! Details are a little scarce at the moment, but the shooting brake will feature an enhanced version of the 6.2-liter V8 engine that will allow the car to hit 320 Km/H (200 mph).

Now this reminds me of another great wagon: the Ferrari 456 Venice!

Classic Mustang looks with ZR1 power: Awesomeness!

The Equus Bass 770 is powered by the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 from the Chevrolet ZR1 producing 640 Hp and 819 Nm of torque. A dual-clutch six-speed gearbox assures the transmission of all the ponies to the rear wheel. The Bass 770 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).

Chevrolet unveils its Track Focused Camaro Z28 in New York


Chevrolet unveiled the Z/28 track focused version of its Camaro muscle car at the New York Motor Show. Besides featuring some very welcome aesthetic enhancements, the car is now powered by the 7.0-Liter LS7 from the Z06 Corvette producing more than 500 Hp and 640 Nm of torque.

The Z/28 is 45 Kilograms lighter than the already fit Camaro SS. Visual enhancements also include a redesigned front and rear bumber, a new front splitter, a vented front hood as well as new side skirts. More pictures of the beauty in the gallery below.
