If you are disappointed by the looks of the 2014 F1 cars, and there's a good chance you are, here's something really different. Designed with the same spirit as the Adrian Newey's Red Bull X2014, this McLaren concept F1 car is pure fantasy. So even if we won't see something like this on the race track in the near future, it would be nice to have a competitor for the Red Bull X2014 in the virtual world! 2015 Mitsubishi Eclipse R/SD Concept Study

While Toyota, Subaru and Honda are resurrecting their iconic sports cars and generating excitement among their fans, Mitsubishi doesn't seem to have plans to bring us a new sports coupe like the FTO, Eclipse or even better, the 3000GT (GTO). Happily, there are some great designers out there that are keeping this dream alive like Steel Blake from Kyrgyzstan [1] who helped by Zhikharev Eduard and Mike Kinikhin came up with this fantastic concept that he sees as a new Eclipse model for the year 2015.

While chances of that happening are more than weak. At least we have the renderings below to help us visualize what such a sports car might be. Of course, being a virtual model, the car features some crazy design bits like the openings in the front fenders or the asymmetric lines in the front grille. Overall, the car clearly hints at the 2001 Eclipse model and we can even say that it's pretty recognizable as Mitsubishi model.

Alfa 6C Revival: an Italian Muscle Car by Alex Imnadze

Another stunning piece of design by Georgian designer Alex Imnadze, author of this beautiful front engined Lamborghini design study..

Alex says that his design is inspired by classic Italian cars such as the original Alfa Romeo 6C from 1948 and the modern 8C. But we spot some similarities with the new SRT Viper too which makes total sense since the two brands are owned by Fiat!

We're not sure if Alfa Romeo is willing to produce such a car, but we love the idea of an Alfa Romeo sports car based on the SRT Viper. But again, that means that the brand will enter in competition with Ferrari, which will be of course strongly disapproved by Fiat..

Ferrari Xerzi Competizione by Samir Sadikhov

Samir Sadikhov from Azerbaijan, author of the stunning Incepto GT, released a new race car concept based on his award winning Ferrari Xerzi design study. Dubbed Xerzi Competizione, the new race car has a new front splitter, vented front fenders, side skirts and a roof scoop that extends to the rear wing just like modern Le Mans closed prototypes.

We really like the fact that the headlights are barely visible on this car and we think it's one of the secrets of its beauty. A feature that can also be found on the Incepto GT and we think it should be inspiring for other supercar makers.. We hope that one day we will see something similar from Ferrari on the race track! Stunning Lamborghini Design Study by Alex Imnadze

Russian Georgian automotive designer Alex Imnadze came up with this magnificent Lamborghini Concept car. The design study takes inspiration from earlier Lamborghini models like the legendary Miura and the Espada. But it also borrows some design cues from the current Aventador like the headlights and the front end. The least we can say is that the concept looks absolutely stunning. Maybe Lamborghini needs to pay attention to this concept and think seriously about building the spiritual successor for the Miura instead of presenting a concept car that looks exactly the same.

Ferrari EGO Concept

This striking Ferrari concept car is the fruit of the imagination of four design school graduates from Italy. It is named Ferrari EGO (Emotional Generation One) and it represents what a lightweight compact supercar ready for the streets by 2025 would look like.

The rear end is largely inspired by the iconic Ferrari 330 P4 and the front end is marked by the hidden rectangular headlights. Overall, the design is very homogeneous and even though it looks futuristic, it could very possibly find its place today among cars like the SSC Tuatara or the GT by Citroën Concept.



This design study is the result of the collaboration between Salvatore Simonetti, Massimiliano Petrachi and Vincenzo Morlino from the "Instituto d’Arte Applicata e Design", Torino and Luca Zunino from the "Politecnico di Milano". Stunning Incepto GT design study by Samir Sadikhov from Azerbaijan

As if the original Incepto Concept car wasn't already awesome enough, talented designer Samir Sadikhov from Azerbaijan is offering us a GT version of his magnificent concept for our viewing pleasure. The least you can say about this beast is that it's absolutely beautiful. Are there any chances that it would take shape in real life? Only time will tell.

The rear quarter panels which integrate glass wheel covers were replaced by more conventional body parts that will allow changing the wheels during pit stops. The GT version of the Incepto also features a huge rear spoiler, a rear diffuser and an additional pair of side air intakes. The overall look of the car remains very interesting and very innovative to say the least.
