Renault Duster Unleashed for Dakar 2014

Renault introduced its updated Duster rally car that is set to compete in the 2014 Edition of the Dakar rally next month (yes it's called "The Dakar" even though it takes place in South America since 2009). Details are a little scarce at the moment but we know that the rally car is going to be powered by a V6 engine and produce more than 300 Hp. But we have a video, and you can see the French rally car in motion after the jump.

Renault Twingo V8 by Lazareth

Remember the Lazareth Wazuma V8F Ferrari powered quad? We weren't big fans of it. But this V8 Renault Twingo will make much more sense once you've seen the V8F.

It is powered by a centrally mounted 3.5-liter Range Rover V8 producing 200 ch. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Sadly, this fully functional Twingo V8 is not road legal in France where it was built.

Lotus F1 E20 Revealed!

It seems that McLaren is the only team who has resisted the stepped nose temptation so far... Now it's Lotus F1's turn to unveil its 2012 competitor. The former Renault F1 Team has succeeded to attract attention this year by hiring the returning world champion Kimi Raikkönen and let's not forget the historic Black and Gold livery which looks absolutely gorgeous. On paper, this team has everything it needs to be among the front runners this year. Let's hope it live up to the fans' expectations.. There's more to come this afternoon with Red Bull Racing revealing its RB8, so stay tuned!

French Beauty

I know, i've already written about this car two days ago. But i just think it's amazingly good looking, so i thought it wasn't a bad idea to share this beautiful shot with you.

Photos: The Renault DeZir Concept Car in The Streets of Paris

Renault wants to catch up with its country rival Citroën in terms of design. And by unveiling the sensational DeZir concept car in the Paris Motor Show last month, the French automaker seems pretty well on track. Forget those weird lines from the likes of the Renault Velsatis and say hi to the smoothness and the beauty of the DeZir lines.

The good thing about this show car is that it actually works. It has got a 150 Hp electric motor and is said to be capable of reaching 100 km/h (62mph) in just 5 seconds. But don't expect for a minute that those two reverse butterfly doors and futuristic the headlights as well as the very unusual interior design will make it to a potential production model. Still, it's interesting to see what the designers can do once ergonomy limits put aside...

The 2010 Formula One World Championship contenders

2010 Lotus T127

With the unveiling of the long awated lotus T127 with its beautiful classic Lotus Racing livery, the 2010 formula One grid began to show up with already 22 cars ready to go in Bahrain. This is surely one of the most anticipated Formula One seasons since 2000. With a mixture of young talents and old veterans as well as four new teams and a returning seven times world champion willing to take the the crown again, it is going to be a very interesting battle.

After seing the Brawn GP team come out from the ashes of the former Honda F1 team to make the surprise and take both crowns in 2009, this year we have more favourites than any other season in modern F1.

It is also believed that banning refueling will make races more exciting and will allow more actual overtaking on the track. So now we have fuel tanks that can carry up to 250 liters. This lead to a slightly different design of the cars especially when it comes to the wheel base which is now a little bit longer.

No more talking, now let's have a look at the 2010 championship contenders!
