Puritalia 427 Roadster Ready To Hit The Track

The Puritalia 427 Roadster is described as a modern day Cobra and if you look at the figures, it very well might be. The Italian Roadster is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 producing 445 hp but future clients willing for more power can opt for the supercharged version which produces 605 hp. With a curb weight of just 1,090 Kg (2,403 pounds), we are expecting astonishing performance numbers and we couldn't wait to learn more about the project!

There is no word on the pricing nor performance figures yet. But the Italian automaker wanted to update us about he development progress. And we are glad they did! More pictures in the gallery below.

Strakka DOME S103 LMP2 prototype unveiled

British Strakka Racing Team unveiled their DOME S103 LMP2 prototype. The car is set to compete at the World Endurance Championship starting in 2014. It powered by a Nissan-sourced 4.5-liter V8 petrol engine. Details are a little scarce at the moment but the car will begin its testing at the Paul Ricard circuit in France next March. stay tuned for more details.

Mazda Returns To Racing With A diesel Prototype

Mazda revealed its diesel Skyactiv-D powered Prototype that is set to compete in the United SportsCar Championship that came as a replacement for the ALMS and the Gran Am series. The car will make its racing debut at the Rolex Daytona 24 Hours next January.

Mazda has been absent from the global racing stage for quite a few years. Their latest and most significant achievement is their historic overall win at Le Mans in 1991 with the rotary-powered 787B race car. It's so refreshing to see them back, now we hope they also have plans to race with the top LMP1 league at Le Mans in the near future.

Unique Lamborghini Pregunta Prototype For Sale

This unique Lamborghini Pregunta Concept was built back in 1998 on a Diablo platform and introduced at the Paris Motor Show the same year. It is powered by a V12 producing 530 Hp and sending power to the rear wheels. It has a top speed of 333 Km/h (207 mph).

This concept was made by the French Carrosserie Heuliez back when Audi still hasn't purchased the Sant'Agata supercar maker. So if you want to own a very rare piece of Lamborghini's history, you'll have to pay a reported 1.6 million euros, a value that can only rise with time...
