A few month ago, we reported that Maserati could be working on LaFerrari based model that could be named "LaMaserati" as well. The Maserati flagship could use LaFerrari's 800 Hp V12 without the hybrid system for a more organic driving experience. Of course this is all speculation. But knowing that a similar thing happened in the past with the Enzo based Maserati MC12, this could not be madness after all.

Talented designer Mark Hostler, came up with this magnificent design study that he sees as Maserati's next LaFerrari based hypercar. We think that his creation looks absolutely stunning and we are glad to share Mark's amazing work with you.

10,000th Vehicle Produced at Maserati's Plant in Grugliasco

It seems that Ferrari's sister company Maserati is becoming healthier and healthier after some pretty tough years. Two days ago, the 10,000th vehicle rolled out of the production line of the Italian automaker's plant in Grugliasco, Torino, Italy. The reason for this commercial success are the Quattroporte (8,200 units produced from January till November 2013) and the Ghibli (1,200 units during the same period).

This commercial success is far from being over since we are expecting a replacement for the Gran turismo and even a rumoured LaMaserati which is a less advanced version of LaFerrari. Stay tuned and our congratulations to Maserati!

Maserati Bora Concept by Alex Imnadze

Alex Imnadze, author of this magnificent Lamborghini design study concept as well as this Alfa Romeo 6C revival concept, comes back with new stunning concept. The new creation carries the Maserati badge and it draws its inspiration from the classic Maserati Bora model.

As we used to get from Alex, the quality of the rendering is mind blowing and the design looks ready for production. Now if only they make it! Stay tuned for more pictures.

Now that LaFerrari has been officially unveiled, rumors have just started to surface about a possible "LaMaserati" model... Rumors suggest that the limited series Maserati will benefit from all the technologies developed with LaFerrari except for its hybrid powertrain. Instead, it might use a turbocharged version of the Quattroporte's V8.

Keep in mind that none of these information have been officially confirmed. But a LaFerrari based hypercar from Maserati isn't out of question since the MC-12 its self was based on the Ferrari Enzo.

The new Maserati Quattroporte Revealed

Maserati took wraps off its Quattroporte replacement and it looks absolutely gorgeous! The headlights look like a more sophisticated version of the Gran Turismo's and the biggest change at the rear are the horizontal taillights. The car also has a longer wheel base (148mm) than its predecessor and a new more powerful V8 that might produce as much as 530 HP (as the pictures suggest). Another possible power-plant for the four-door Italian supercar will be a supercharged V6 developing at least 400 Hp. The Maserati Quattroporte will be fully unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show next January. Maserati Grand Finale Concept Illustration by RS--Design

This Maserati Grand Finale Concept illustration is the work of a designer and architecture student called Rok from Slovenia. Rok wanted to illustrate a whole new maserati model with a completely new body while borrowing some design cues from the current Maserati Gran Turismo. The most noticeable elements are the front hood and headlights and a front bumper very similar to that of the latest Maserati Gran Turismo MC Stradale. However, the Grand Finale features a much wider and more aggressive body with McLaren style side air intakes. Great job.

More muscle, more power: Maserati Gran Turismo MC Staradale

If you've already seen the standard Maserati Gran Turismo in person, you are probably as excited as me about the new MC Stradale variant. The Maserati Gran Turismo MC stradale is not as powerful as the outgoing Ferrari F430 Scuderia from its sister company but it has nonetheless benefited from important chassis enhancements and a slight increase in power with now an output of 450 Hp, 20 more than the Gran Turismo S. It also features a new agressive aero package and beautifully redesigned fornt fascia. These little enhancements altogether will definetely contribute to making it a very different beast.

More technical details will be revealed in the public unveiling later this month at the Paris Motor Show, stay tuned!

Pick of the day: Touring Superleggera A8GCS Berlinetta

This beautifully sculpted GT is based on none other than the Maserati coupé GranSport (not the Gran Turismo). The Milano based Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera gave the Maserati coupé a classic looking body with a very distinctive touch while incorporating the most advanced aerodynamic solutions. Beautiful.
