Bathurst: GT6 vs Reality

We all knew that the Mont Panorama circuit was making it to GT6 and we all knew that it was going to be very realistic. But I just wasn't expecting it to be this realistic. Suddenly I started seeing double. Bathurst alone should be enough reason to buy this game.
1967 Chevy Nova Wins GT Awards Best-In-Show at SEMA

Every year at the SEMA show, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi picks up the best car in the show for the GT Awards event. This year, the winner is a 1967 Chevy Nova and as always, the car will be included in the upcoming Gran Turismo 6 as downloadable content.

It's coming... [UPDATE]

On December 6, 2013, you will be able drive this on Gran Turismo 6 around circuits like Apricot Hill (yes it's back!) and Brands Hatch. And don't worry, you won't need a PS4 to do that. Sony promises, no delay this time.

I don't know about you, but I find having some of the good old circuits from GT2 and GT3 back really exciting. Bring the old non-paved Pikes Peak course along with the Red Rock Valley Speedway and I'm all yours.

You can find high res pictures of some other interesting additions in the gallery below. (The cars in blue livery, along with many others will be available for the 15 anniversary edition.)

More muscle, more power: Maserati Gran Turismo MC Staradale

Maserati,Granturismo,Mc stradale

If you've already seen the standard Maserati Gran Turismo in person, you are probably as excited as me about the new MC Stradale variant. The Maserati Gran Turismo MC stradale is not as powerful as the outgoing Ferrari F430 Scuderia from its sister company but it has nonetheless benefited from important chassis enhancements and a slight increase in power with now an output of 450 Hp, 20 more than the Gran Turismo S. It also features a new agressive aero package and beautifully redesigned fornt fascia. These little enhancements altogether will definetely contribute to making it a very different beast.

More technical details will be revealed in the public unveiling later this month at the Paris Motor Show, stay tuned!

Gran Turismo 5 reveals its self a little bit more, exeeds expectations

Dodge Challenger GT5

First of all you need to know that the orange Dodge Challenger you're seing in the picture above is not real (or is it?), it's a snapshot from the much anticipated Gran Turismo 5 driving simulator (what video game?) by Polyphony Digital.

Apparently the game is now confirmed for November the 2nd 2010 but don't take it too much for granted as we all know the previous titles had too much delays after the official release dates were published. But you're not gonna complain about that anymore once you've watched the video below. In fact, the more we get to see new features about GT5, the more we wonder about what we still haven't seen yet and i can assure you there's a lot more... Like the mysterious wind tunnel that's been making short appearences in the latest GT5 trailers. Stay tuned!

However let's have a look at the new stuff. Night racing is confirmed once again but this time we have the chance to see some night rallying, a total success. We also learn from this video that the Stig him self will be represented in GT5. We've also seen a great implication from the Red Bull F1 Team members Sebastian Vettel and Adrian Newey, what are they preparing for us? only time will tell. There's a lot more in the video below, enjoy and be patient!

UPDATE: This one might suit your taste too.

News: All three Nürburgring courses will be available in Gran Turismo 5

Photobucket

Sony has announced that all the Nürburgring courses will be included in Gran Turismo 5. It means that you will be able to race in two new circuits in addition to the Nordschleife: The Gran Prix circuit and the 24 hours circuit (with includes the Nordschleife and the majority of the GP circuit) This is good news for all Gran Turismo fans (and for me).

Judging by the pictures below, you can see how far the Polyphony Digital team went with the details. The graphics are just stunning and visitors of the 24 Hours race at the Nürburgring this weekend will be the first to be able able to try these new circuits in the special Gran Turismo demo stations. But if you're watching the race on streaming just like me, you still can enjoy these screens.

Pick of the day: Touring Superleggera A8GCS Berlinetta

Touring Superleggera A8GCS Berlinetta

This beautifully sculpted GT is based on none other than the Maserati coupé GranSport (not the Gran Turismo). The Milano based Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera gave the Maserati coupé a classic looking body with a very distinctive touch while incorporating the most advanced aerodynamic solutions. Beautiful.
