The Bentley Continental GT3 Finishes 4th at The 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi

What better practice for the brand new Bentley Continental GT3 race car than a 12 Hours race at the Beautiful Yas Marina Circuit in Dubai? The British race car did pretty well during its racing debut with Guy Smith, Steven Kane and Andy Meyrick at the wheel. The three drivers secured a solid fourth place which Bentley believes is very good result for a car that is still under development.

The Continental GT3 will be entering the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series which starts on April 12. Here's a beautiful set of high res pictures released by Bentley for the occasion.

Bentley Reveals Driver Lineup For its GT3 Racing Comeback

The Beautiful Bentley Continental GT3 race car unveiled last year at the Paris Motor Show will finally make its racing debut at the Abu Dhabi 12 Hours at the Yas Marina F1 Circuit on December 13th. The drivier's lineup has also been confirmed with Steven Kane, Guy Smith and Andy Meyrick (left to right).

The three British drivers already have competeted in several endurance events especially Guy Smith who drove the Le Mans winning Bentley Speed 8 back in 2003. More pictures of the 600 Hp British racer in the gallery below.

Sareni United Camaro GT

Sareni United is a new company specialized in preparing race cars. I was founded by Hans Reiter, the same man behind Reiter Engineering, the company that prepares very successful Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 Race Cars. Their very first project is this gorgeous silver Camaro GT3 powered by a 7.9-Liter V8 producing 650 Hp. The car is still under testing but the first results are very promising as it is said that it has already matched the Lambo's pace. Expect to see it in the VLN series. The race car has already been homologated by the FIA and its price starts at €195,000.

VIDEO: First Wheel Spins of the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Racer

Here it is! The McLaren MP4-12C derived GT3 racer makes its first wheel spins at the Silverstone circuit. And it looks far better than any rendering you could have seen before. The new aero package makes the orange racecar look spectacular from every angle. Power comes from the same 3.8-Liter V8 that you can find in the road going version. The new racer from Woking makes an awesome noise and i'm expecting it to be as fast as it looks. VIDEO: Audi R8 LMS driven by Autocar

I know, this is nothing new. But hey, this isn't the place to go if you're looking for automotive news! But if you are looking for a good dose of engineering perfection here it is, and it's brought to you by the well respected UK car magazine AUTOCAR. This time Steve sutcliffe takes you for a spin around the Silverstone circuit with the Audi R8 LMS GT3 racer.

The Audi R8 LMS uses the same Lamborghini V10 that you can find on the road going R8 V10 but in order to meet the regulations of GT3 races, the car has 18 Hp less. If you are willing to participate in a GT3 race or maybe next year's 24 hours of the Nurburgring, the R8 LMS is yours for 300k £ otherwise you can still watch this video to get a glimpse of what it feels like, no power sliding this time, but hey that's not the fastest way to go round corners.

VIDEO: Mercedes-Benz's SLS AMG based GT3 racer

Last month Mercedes-Benz unveiled their newest customer race car version of the SLS AMG. The car is under homologation to compete in the 2011 FIA GT3 championship. It has the same 6.3L V8 from that produces 571 Hp in the road going version. But the engine might be detuned in order to match the FIA's current regulations.

From the exterior, the car remains more or less close to the road going version. The racing aero kit includes a huge front splitter and side winglets as well as a massive rear diffuser and a giant rear spoiler in order to have a low drag coefficient and maximum downforce.

In the interior the modifications include a steel roll-over cage, an F1 style steering wheel and gear change.
