Pick Of the Day: 1967 Corvette Sting Ray by RK Motors

Remember that 1959 Chevy Corvette from last week? Well that was only to prepare you for something even more special and more unique.

This Atomic Orange 1967 Sting Ray Convertible is the classic Corvette of your dreams. With its 500cid V8 that produces 701hp and 677lb. ft. of torque mated to a RPM Transmissions-built T56 6-speed, its tube chassis and its C4 suspension, it's ready to put to shame every new stock Corvette.

The car sits on powder coated HRE 840R wheels measuring 10 inches at the front and 12 inches at the rear. I really recommend that you read the full story of this 3,000 hours build here at RKM's website. And don't forget to check out their full high res gallery of this fantastic machine!

Everything in this car says "please drive me", now I just need to find those god damn $300k!

Too much Corvettes for today? I don't think anyone is going to complain about that! Especially if we're talking about a classic 1967 Corvette Sting Ray. C2 Corvettes are really gaining popularity among collectors. And they are now regularly passing the millions dollars bar at auction events. But this particular model achieved a mind blowing $3.2million last September. So what makes it so unique and so desirable?

Well this is not any C2 Vette, it's the L88 variant of which only 20 were ever built. Besides, this Marlboro Maroon example was the winner of the ’67 NHRA A/Sports Nationals at Indianapolis. The pictures below are the testimony of how well-cared for and how beautiful this car is.
