A Group of students from the Delft University of Technology achieved a mind blowing world record by taking their EV from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in exactly 2.15 seconds! The EV weights just 145kg (320 pounds) and its wheel mounted electric motors achieve nearly as much power, 135 Hp. The new record even exceeds to expectations of the team manager Tim de Moree who wasn't expecting the time to be lower than 2.3 seconds which is the production car record held by the Ariel Atom V8 (2010).
